Per the twitter world, it sounds as if Mission Viejo OL Colby Cyburt committed to the Bruins. He was waiting to hear back from Stanford admissions this week and if he wasn't admitted, he was a lock to come to Westwood.
New OL Coach Adrian Klemm also tweeted, '8 CLAP!!!' on his twitter. Anytime he does that, it means UCLA has gotten a commit.
More to come...
UPDATE: Per numerous media outlets, it is confirmed and Cyburt is a Bruin. His commitment is a big deal for a few reasons. He comes from a powerhouse high school program in Mission Viejo that UCLA hasn't been recruiting well at all (former USC QB Rob Johnson's father is the coach for MV). Besides Jeff Baca and Alex Mascarenas, I can't remember the last MV product that attended UCLA.
Also, he plays at a big position of need at OT. UCLA is very thin at the position and looks to load up on OTs hard for next season. Cyburt is 6'5 270 and is an athletic tackle with big time upside. If Stanford offered him as an OL, then that's good enough for me.
