DB Librado Barocio has a torn ACL. He was having a really nice spring filling in for some of the other injured DBs. Tough break.
We cannot afford to lose DB's!!!! '74

I watched the actual injury. He tweaked his knee by putting force/weight on it awkwardly while attempting to stop a WR. Happened on the southwest corner of Spaulding (grass), so turf cannot be blamed.
For anyone who has torn a knee ligament, you could easily see the instability post-injury as he attempted to step off the field.
A torn MCL/ACL feels like you are trying to put your thigh's weight onto a moving cane (if that makes any sense). Absolutely jelly between the adjoining femur and tracking groove for your patella.
He'll be out for a while... But with that kind of work ethic, let's hope he's back 100% and ready for 2013 campaign.
It is sad to see a guy like this get hurt. From what I have heard he is the first one at practice and the last one to leave. The kid is a walk-on but he is the type of kid that is pushing the other players to be better. I hate losing guys who work as hard as he does. I saw an interview with Coach Mora Jr. and he said he has not been around a guy that works as hard as Barocio does in a long long time. '74
The depth is getting considerably thin in the secondary.
However, it sounds like Jefferson is getting back to where he was pre-surgery. This is a big deal, because he absolutely shut down Robert Woods in high school multiple times.
Also with depth concerns, expect some incoming freshmen to get time. I could definitely see Ishmael Adams and Randall Goforth playing as true freshmen.
