Another note relating to recruits at UCLA's practice yesterday:

One particular prospect, whom I will NOT disclose, was there with his parents taking in practice. Very nice family.

The significance of this prospect's appearance relates to the recruit's father, who played under USC's Larry Smith back in the 90's.

With this being said, UCLA seems to be getting at players once considered USC locks, even if their parents' alliances rest elsewhere.

Now, the type of interest UCLA is garnering apparently is so strong that the ex-USC player (recruit's father) was wearing a baby blue polo.

Of course, instigator, er, Scott Wolfe of the LA Daily News, would like to think the USC-UCLA rivalry has no comparison.

I guess we'll see about that.
